Turkey is a large peninsula that bridges the continents of Europe and Asia. Turkey is surrounded on three sides by the Black Sea, the Mediterranean Sea, and the Aegean Sea. Istanbul, the largest city in Turkey, is built on land in the Bosporus seaway. The city is partly in Europe and partly in Asia.
There are a lot of natural beauty in Turkey. I will talk about Cappadocia which city has perfect natural beauty- fairychimney. Cappadocia's name is coming from Katpatuka in hitite language which means land of the beautifull horses.
Cappadocia is best known for potatoes, fruits and wine.There are many places to see in Cappadocia like; Fairy Chimneys, Göreme Valley National Park and rock churches , underground cities of Kaymaklı, Derinkuyu or Özkonak, Zelve Valley and Paşabağ , Avanos with its pottery and carpets , Uçhisar rock fortress, Ortahisar rock fortress , Ürgüp , Ihlara Valley , Soğanlı, Sinasos and Hacıbektaş. In the summer several alternative tours can be arranged: Hot air balloon trip over the chimneys, trekking,walking,horse riding, motorbike or mountain biking around the valleys. In winter , there is also opportunity for hot air balloon trip over the chimneys and snow.
The chimneys are a result of a geologic situation very very long ago, when volcanic eruptions rained ash across what would eventually become Turkey (Erciyes,which volcanic mountain in Kayseri, and Hasan Dağ-which volcanic mountain in Niğde) . That ash hardened into tuff, a porous rock, which was covered by a layer of basalt. Finally, the long work of erosion began. As millennia passed, the softer tuff wore down, giving way to pillars that stand as tall as 130 feet. The harder basalt erodes more slowly, forming a protective, mushroom-shaped cap over each one. That cap touch the body but it is not releate with body.
One of my favourite place in Cappadocia is Ihlara Valley. It's road near Kızılırmak. There are several plants and animals in there (mostly insects ). Fresh air and oxigens ..
If u are romantic , than take ur wife or husband or darling to Red Walley and watch sunset and sunrise. My favourite is sunrise , it means u will have time for watching moon and stars .
